Falmouth Town (1) 2 Godolphin Atlantic (0) 1
In a game played in atrocious conditions of high winds and heavy rain Falmouth Town pulled off an excellent battling win against third placed Godolphin. Rob Wearne gave Town an early lead after ten minutes when he converted a chance created by Dan Greet, who was making his first start for the club. Glen Squires came close to making it 2-0 midway through the first period but his header from another Greet cross was saved by the G keeper.
It took the visitors only six second half minutes to equalise though when Lowry scored from a disputed free-kick awarded for handball just outside the Town penalty box. Ryan Barnes got a hand to the ball but couldn’t prevent it going into the top corner.
Falmouth Town replied in the 75th minute with a free-kick of their own. Full back Ed Timmons stepped up to curl a twenty five yard shot into the bottom corner for his first goal of the season and Town held out for what was a very good win for Andrew Westgarth and his squad.
