Cullompton Rangers (0) Falmouth Town (0) 0
Town stretched their unbeaten league run to nine games at Edenvale Park. It’s another creditable result for Andrew Westgarth’s depleted Town squad against a Cullompton team who have yet to lose in the SWPL this season. Cullompton had the best of the opening 20 minutes and Ryan Barnes made two good saves but Town came back into and were a bit disappointed not to win in the end.

Falmouth Town (0) 2 Penryn Athletic (0) 1
Falmouth Town eased past near neighbours Penryn Athletic to set up a 2nd Round tie at either Porthleven or Helston in this Walter C. Parsons League Cup tie. The first half was an uneventful affair with Town looking lack lustre and unable to create much in the way of chances and the 1st Division West visitors comfortably matched their Premier Division opponents.
The home side were straight out 0f the blocks for the second period though and it took them only three minutes to go into the lead. Matt Hollands, playing his first game of the season, set up Rob Wearne with a well placed free kick and the striker made no mistake in heading home from eight yards . Top scorer Glen Squires stretched the lead after 65 minutes with his 7th goal of the season when he fired home a powerful angled shot into the roof of the net following good work from player manager Andrew Westgarth.
Town went close to making it 3-0 on several occasions, notably through Luke Tripconey, but it was Penryn who grabbed a last gasp goal through Luke Brabyn to give the visitors a consolation and put some gloss on the final score.
