Town Win at Stoke

Stoke Gabriel 1 Falmouth Town 2

Falmouth Town’s defence must take much of the credit for this important win for Falmouth Town. Three of the back four who kept a clean sheet against Exmouth were absent.  Tom Whipp (with Ross Pope) was at Anfield,  and Nick Hurst & Josh Sims were bunavailable.  That  left a back line of Scott Kellow, Jamie Webb,  skipper Joe Cooper and Connor Symons.  The later was making his first appearance of the season and put in a tidy performance.

With the midfield not firing on all cylinders, Town trailed at half-time to a 3rd minute goal from Brown but a more controlled second half saw Town just about deserve the three points, and their first league double of the season.  The  goals came from Kayne Trevaskis (53m),  and substitute Sam Bromley (75).
