Falmouth Town extended there unbeaten run to seven matches with a comprehensive win over their near neighbours. With Town slow out of the blocks Penryn had the better of the opening exchanges, going close on a couple of occasions. Falmouth’s experience and quality shone through when some excellent interchanging between defence and midfield resulted in Ben Allen’s a pin point cross being finished off by a diving Stephen Owen header. Falmouth doubled there lead after fantastic run from Sam Bromley on the left hand side and another superb cross finished off by the prolific Dominic Pullen. Pullen Soon added his 2nd of the game after determination from Stephen Owen closing down defence and goal keeper before picking out his strike partner for a free header into an empty net.
2nd Half saw Falmouths experience shine through with Skipper Steve Winnan and Luke Appelton controlling the tempo of the game in midfield. Pullen added his 3rd and Towns 4th with a glancing header from a Darren Friend free kick. The scoring was completed when substitute Steve Retchford was brought down in the box and Pullen stepped up to score his 17th on the campaign so far and complete a hat-trick.
