Falmouth Town’s Trelawny League team clinched the Division 5 title in their first season in the league with a 7-0 home win over Madron Reserves . Well done one and all.
Falmouth Town’s scratch side came away with a very credible draw at The Mill in this penultimate game of the season. Rob Wearne scored early in the second half but ex-Town player Darren Hicks denied the visitors victory with an equalising goal with 10 minutes left to play. The result was even more impressive as Town, already without the suspended Tom Whipp, lost centre-back Joe Copper early on to a hamstring injury. Jason Robertson though put in a great shift to hold the defence together.
Midfield stalwart Ross Pope, assisted by skipper tom Whipp, managed the team in the absence of John Dent and Gary Cooper. Well done all.
