Falmouth took a massive step towards the championship with this win at Pendeen. With both Illogan and St. Agnes losing today, victory over Mullion at Bickland on Tuesday will leave Paul Murray’s side in an almost unassailable position. The goals were scored by Ben Ambrose and Lawrie McGowan.
Town’s game at Bovey Tracey today was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The match has been provisionally re-arranged for Wednesday the 9th of May, 7:45 pm kick off.
Town gained another three points in their quest for third spot with this win at a very wet Trefew Park. Gusterton had given the home side the lead but goals from Dan Green and Mark Vercesi gave the visitors a 2-1 half-time lead. Green added a third before ex-town player Ollie Gibson pulled one back for the Camels.
A second half fight back saw Falmouth keep their championship ambitions on track. St. Ives had taken the lead after only two minutes and were barely troubled by the home side for the rest of the half. It was a different story in the second half as Town began to show their form and two Luke Wort goals saw them snatch the three points.
